AMY PALIWODA

Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m a prop stylist, set designer, art director, and creative, with 25 years of experience. I specialize in styling for food and beauty brands, with an emphasis on tabletop, product and swatch styling. My career has run the gamut from editorial, cookbooks, to web content and international campaigns. You may not know me, but you’ve seen my work in and on magazines, books, store signage, websites, billboards and beyond.

I’m known for having a sharp eye for detail, exceptional problem solving skills, an artist’s eye for color and form, and an approachably stylish elegance to my work. I believe great style is for everyone, the power of collaborating with a happy team makes the best work happen, and that we make each other’s work better. I love to tap in to my client’s vision, and find ways to elevate their story.

In 2014, along with my business partner, I opened the first tabletop prop house in Los Angeles, The Surface Library. Our space is filled with an ever evolving collection of beautiful surfaces, dishware, glassware, and ephemera. I’m always sourcing and making new items for the collection, to find the perfect mix of custom, vintage and classic style.

When I’m not on set, you’ll find me at the prop house working on collections, reading, cooking, flea marketing, and traveling whenever I can. I’m always following my own curiosity for inspiration.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Mish, a blind Pomeranian named Nova, and a semi feral cat named Smokey in a 100 year old co-op we refer to as ‘grey gardens west’.
